Q Topic: Identify Your Confirmation Bias We all experience confirmation bias from time to time; power comes to those who become aware of this bias and address it. Answer the following questions to complete this assignment: 1. Define confirmation bias in your own words 2. Explain a time in your own life when you think confirmation bias played a role in your thinking or decision-making process (in everyday or academic life) 3. Confirmation bias is a strong belief in something, that regardless of the facts your brain will alter you to only see what it is you believe. Confirmation bias played a role in my life recently when purchasing a new hunting rifle. I did a lot of research on different calibers rifles and wanted the best. Going up as a kids I would always hear my grandfather talking about how good a 7mm rifle was. He stated it was the best bullet every made, flew the fastest, flew the straightest, and had the most knockdown power.
